Another of my favorite places to chow down is Tortilla Jo's in Downtown Disney. We ordered the Honey Chipotle Glazed Chicken Breast and the Carne Asada Ranchera. The Chicken was juicy and served with a butternut squash and chorizo tamale, sweet corn that is so delish and creamy poblano salsa. The asada was served with a oaxaca (my favorite) cheese quesadilla, lemon-tomatillo sauce, chipotle mashed sweet potatoes that were so good I believe they are a permanant part of my heart and soul and some pretty good black beans. I have also tried the yummy Burrito Verde. It is a large flour tortilla filled with vegetarian black beans, green rice and cheese topped with salsa verde and queso fresco. Served with seasonal vegetables, pico de gallo, and sour cream.

More local for my locals...

I love that place, too! Usually I shy away from the supercorporate atmosphere of eating at Downtown Disney, but any restaurant that I've been to in the Patina group, regardless of how corporate, has been great. This place is no exception. I think Catal is also a Patina group restaurant if I am correct. I've only had appetizers at the UVA bar: overpriced but delicious.
ReplyDeleteI so agree UVA actually got me into hummus. I loved the trio they have with hummus, baba ganouj, & walnut mouhammara but they are overpriced. Patina serves great food at the Hollywood Bowl as well if you ever go see a show there.
