There is a nice little Irish pub in Sterling, VA that can do more than make a killer drink. O' Faolain's is a popular place that makes everybody feel at home. They serve Irish favorites like Shepard's Pie, Bangers & Mash and great Guinness Casserole. I love the food but the drinks and the service is what really makes this place stand out. The staff are all Irish (gotta love an accent) and they are so friendly it makes you feel very comfortable, special and always brings a smile to my face.
I also tried a really fantastic kabob place called Moby Dick. They serve Kabob-E Chenjeh chunks of tenderloin, Kabob-E Joojeh Skinless chunks of boneless chicken breast, Fish Kabob chunks of boneless Sword Fish, and Kabob-E Barreh chunks of lamb loin all of which is marinated in their special house seasoning. They are all served on a bed of the lightest most flavorful saffron basmati rice ever. The bread was less than perfect but the spicy yogurt dip and the hummus made it all better :-)
